Some people think young people should be free to choose the job that they want, while others believe that they should be realistic and think about their future. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

There is often debate about whether youngsters should be independent to choose the job that they want or whether it is better to be realistic and think about their future. In my opinion, I agree with the former that youngsters should make their own work choices.

On the one hand, it is true that youngsters should think in a more practical way by considering the career prospect of the job. Firstly, the career path and the salary are always the first standard to pursue the job. For instance, a graduate who is good at biology is now having two choices which are becoming a biology teacher or an animal reseacher. Of course, he will choose a steady job like teacher instead of working as a researcher which can not give him a decent salary. Secondly, yougsters may be unrealistic to follow a glamorous job such as sports stars or actors. In this case, they will not likely to earn enough fortune to solve their financial burdens.

On the other hand, there are various benefits for youngsters to choose their own occupations. If young people do a job that they like, they will have more passion and motivation toward the career. They will devote more of themselves into the career because it is their own interest. As a result, this can bring greater productivity and profits in their workplace. Moreover, those performing well are always regarded as having better working environment. The reason is they have more confidence to communicate with their colleagues.

In conclusion, although the career path and the salary is essential these days, youngsters should pursue their own interest, improving their performences.
