The charts show information concerning speed-camera use, together with statistics on road accidents, for the city of Melbourne.

Summaries the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart gives the usage of speed cameras in Melbourne, while the line graph compares the accidents and deaths rates in one particular Melbourne's Road during the period from 2002 to 2005.

In general, there was a significant increase in terms of the number of speed cameras. Additionally, the proportion of accidents on road was nearly twice as high as deaths', for each time point although the percentage varied.

In 2002, approximately 30-speed cameras were installed on road, whereas the gap widened over the years: as its usage rose to 60 in 2004 and doubled to the peak at a little below 150 in 2005.

At the same time, while the deaths levels had some mild ups and downs, hovering below 1% in the first two years, the proportion of accidents oscillated at varying degrees but did not deviate much from 3%. The year 2004 was characterized by a similarly sharp increase in both percentages, 3.5% for the latter and 1.9% for the latter. However, two curves were negatively correlated, with the deaths levels decreasing to 1% and accidents percentage surging to 4%
