Do you agree or disagree that celebrities are paid far too much money?

My essay:

Some people believe that stars get wages more than ordinary people. While, hard-working persons such as teachers often receive low salaries. Overall, in my view, there are many reasons to support this belief.

It is true that some celebrities make good differences on people. For example, some of them devote part of their money to charity works and are active against pollution and global warming. They share contents and images on their social pages about these good deeds, and their followers imitate them. In addition, some stars and famous athletes bring glory to a country, like Asghar Farhadi who is an Iranian director won the Oscar Award last year. That was a big progress for Iranian’s Cinema industry.

However, celebrities’ high salaries do not always have positive effects. Some stars are famous and give hundreds of millions of dollars without any great talent. They do not work hard and their fame is just from their parents, favoritism or strange things on social medias, but get wealthy more and more. while, a teacher who plays a key role in society, get minor salary. They just promote social discrimination. Sometimes, they may have negative effects on teenagers. Teenage years are important for adolescents’ character. Sixty percent of Indian girl are unsatisfied and unhappy with their lives. They see stars’ luxurious life and want to be like them. For example, Swift bought her first home at 16 years old. When some teenagers hear this story, their self-esteem decrease because they cannot do like Swift.

In conclusion, along with the positive effects of wealthy stars, it can be very harmful for society, particularly teenagers. I generally agree that famous celebrities should live like ordinary people.
