The picture below gives information about the growth of a specific area from 1965 to the present.

A quick glance at the diagram reveals that more housing has been built and a road bridge now links the area to the city, replacing a ferry to cross the river.

From 1965 to current days, in the northwestern part of this area, trees have been chopped down to make way for a riverside car park. Across the river, in the North-east, the residential area has been expanded, even to the other side of the main road. The number of houses has been significantly increased, and apartments have been constructed right in the North- West of these houses. In the centre of this residential area, a car park which has a small road leading to the main road emerges. Replacing the winding road and ferry, a straight road bridge now crosses the river.

Further development is planned for 2018, creating a foot bridge just in the south of the road bridge and another car parking area next to yacht marina, both to be located south-east of the foot bridge.
