Health is a one of the precious gifts human beings have received in this world. As the time passes, one getting older, and more vulnerable to diseases and old age, requires to take more care of his/her health. It is not only compulsory for the old people to enhance and take good care of their health, but also the immediate responsibility of every young or middle-aged person, to enjoy a healthy and a nutritious lifestyle. In the first place,I think One of the many problems with modern society is the constant attempt to blame someone or something else for our own problems. I admit that there are times when a person's actions are heavily influenced by things beyond their control, but I do not feel that smoking is one of them.In effect, smocker should pay medical treatment because smocking is bad for smocker’s healt and also the people around the smocker. For example,if ypu inhale smoke form a burning building,it’s bad for you, right? So, why wouldn’t purposely inhaling smoke from a cigarette be a health risk. It’s never been a big secret, especially in the past few decades that smocking isn’t exactly great for your health. Today , how many people are there who are addicted to smocking every hour or every minute-more than we can all think. Secondly,I’m very much a believer that everyone should bear the responsibility for their own action. One of the many problems with modern society is the constant attempt to blame someone or something else for our own problems. I admit that there are times when a person's actions are heavily influenced by things beyond their control, but I do not feel that smoking is one of them. For instance, if they have to pay healt taxes, there is a more chance to make them reconsider their decision to smoke in the first place. Thirdly, the argument that smocker might not bear responsability may have been made in the past. Long before any studies were done and publications were released about the multiple health risks associated with smoking. Smoking was also a very accepted part of social and daily life. Not just bars and restaurants, but almost any public places were acceptable for smoking. This included public transportation, theatres, office buildings and stores. It is no wonder that in the past, so many people smoked and had no problem doing so. In contrast, these days things are much different. A lot of research has been done on the the risks of tobacco use and the results have been widely publicised. If you like to smoke, that's fine. But don't complain about your health as a result of your habit. If you don't like the risks stop the habit and you'll stop the consequences from getting any worse. Smoking is a choice and always has been. Instead of blaming someone else for their actions, smokers need to take responsibility for any health related consequences. The choice to smoke is an adult decision; therefore, a smoker should be a adult and take responsibility for themselves So, should smokers bear responsibility for their own health risks? Taking these points into consideration, absolutely. Not only is it a conscious decision, but one that can affect others, such as second hand smoke and driving up the costs of health care. We have many other people who can use our sympathy that really do deserve it because of situations outside of their control. Smoking is not just a once in a lifetime mistake. But, it is a mistake that every smoker chooses, each and every time they put a cigarette to their lips and light it!
