Physical education should only be an optional subject at school because not everyone's equally good at sports
Don't you think that PE is important for every pupil? I personally believe that PT lessons at schools are keys to good health. There are several reasons for that. Firstly, today's children very often prefer to spend more time watching TV and using computer than playing games or doing some sport exercises. This type of young people is often called "coach potato". Many pupils don't attend any sport trainings after school, so most of them have physical activities only at PT lessons. So, PT can't be an optional subject, because, as a result of it, a pupils' health can easily be at risk to many diseases like heart diseases, hypertension and diabetes. Secondly, physical education develops the pupils' muscles, skills, coordination, endurance and quickness of reaction. Moreover, many doctors today agree that the school children who do sports are more disciplined, organized and attentive, they study better and faster. Besides, playing team games at PT lessons teaches teens to cooperate with others; the children get social skills. Summing it all up, I can say that PE is really important for pupils and PT should be the main subject at school.
