00During my summer months 2004 I seized the opportunity to speak with my cousin Namie Surnamie, a graduated student, about the bachelor’s programme in Economics and Business. Recently I also attended the Open Doors Day where the students of Boogie University answered all my questions from students’ point of view. This insight made me confident that the bachelor programme in Economics and Business at Boogie University in Greenlandwould be a good choice for me.02br

00My interest in scientific subjects appeared in my childhood. At the age of ten I started playing chess; this improved my logical thinking and imagination. Therefore, all scientific subjects were easier to learn for me and I had a time to expand my knowledge in this field. It could be due to that my mother also had a significant influence on my enthrallment in science. As she is a teacher of mathematics, she developed me a rational thinking and wide understanding about the world. Length of 8 year studies at Music school made me a creative and self-confident person. However, there are not a lot of prospects to get a well-paid job as a musician, so I joined Neverland gymnasium which requires motivation, abilities to concentrate and organize one’s work. During my studies at Neverland gymnasium I had a great opportunity to take part in “Bug business” program of economics. Using the variety of methods, I gained basic elements of economics and increased my interest in this subject. Also I have been an active member of my school community and participated in all aspects of school life – academics, sports, extracurricular activities. After the 3 years long attendance at school parliament I improved my communication and team work skills. During the last two summers I worked as a manager in one small company in Sealand. I was responsible for the supply of goods and supervision of marketing. This experience initiated me with the finer points of small business. Also it was a great opportunity to challenge myself living an independent life. I am welcomed to take this post and next summer because my employer saw me as honest, dedicated and enthusiastic employee. Now I spend a lot of time preparing for final exams. Furthermore, I work as a basketball referee on weekends. This job demands a quick reaction to what is happening on the basketball pitch. Therefore, a correct decision is a must. Due to this occupation I combine both my hobby and source of receipts. I find this job useful because I learn to be responsible, have a perfect coordination, communicate with others, catch on quickly with colleagues and make my own money.02br

00Studying at Boogie university in Greenland is a perfect choice for me both academically and experientially. Moreover, I strongly believe that it is a great opportunity for me to improve my English and meet new friends from different countries. As the university is well-known for its high quality education, I expect to be able to start a successful career after I graduate. Thinking about my career I think at the moment is a bit hard to say for sure, but I definitely want my life to revolve around a business world. I see myself in a position which is related to market research, statistics, development of strategies, where I can pursue my purposes and put my knowledge to use.02br
