She joined her boyfriend at the table, again only having a coffee.

If written like this, who's only having a coffee?

Is the sentence grammatical? Would you punctuate it differently?

anonymous She joined her boyfriend at the table, again only having a coffee. If written like this, who's only having a coffee? "she" We always assume the subject of the main clause ( she ) is also the subject of the participle clause if there is no obvious common-sense explanation that they should be different.
