Topic: The consumption of the world's resources (oil, and water etc.) is increasing at a dangerous rate. What are causes and solutions?

The increasing global demand for energy is a pressing issue in recent years. Overpopulation and the development of an economy are two main causes, and the key to solving these problems are using alternative energy and raising public awareness.

There are various reasons leading to the alarming energy consumption. The first reason is overpopulation which is putting heavy pressure on supplying energy sources. The more people live on our planet, the high demand for energy is. Moreover, some non-renewable sources such as coal, oil, and gas will be run out in the near future if humans continue exploiting these at alarming rates. Another reason is the development of an economy. Thousands of industrial sites and power plants are being constructed annually. These factories have consumed a huge amount of natural resources including water and oil.

There are several actions that could be taken to mitigate these problems mentioned above. First, it is necessary for governments to encourage people and industrial sites to use alternative powers such as solar energy or wind energy to reduce their reliance on natural resources. Second, raising public awareness through campaigns is one of the efficient ways to tackle energy overconsumption problems. International organizations and individuals should make every possible effort on energy conservation campaigns such as Earth Hour. Turning off all unnecessary appliances or using recycled water for irrigation are simple measures in which people engage.

In conclusion, there are various factors leading to energy overconsumption, and measures can be implemented to tackle these issues. (250 words)
