TOPIC: Many animal species are becoming extinct due to human activities on land and in sea. What are the reasons and solutions to solve this issue?

Nowadays, the number of endangered species is rapidly increasing in both ground and ocean environments. The primary cause of this issue involves human activities, and the key to solving the problem is government intervention.
There are a number of reasons for the extinction of animals. Damaging habitats is one of the serious reasons. Some illegal activities such as logging, deforestation, and overfishing make the habitat more and more shrink. It is hard for animals to adapt to these limited environments.Another reason is the development of tourism which leads to the increasing number of tourists in some places. Especially, some tourists dump rubbish on the seashore and into the sea. As a consequence, water is contaminated and marine creatures might eat these rubbishes. Next, overexploitation is causing damage to the marine ecosystem. For example, oil spills during the extraction process have killed thousands of marine species. This would put these species at a higher risk of extinction.
There are several actions that could be taken to mitigate the problem mentioned above. First, stricter punishments should be imposed for illegal activities: logging, deforestation, overexploitation, overfishing. Although imposing strict rules does not remove these activities immediately, it will minimize the effect of its on animals. Second, governments and authorities locals have to require factories to install waste treatment systems. Treated water is obviously safer than the untreated one. Last, it is essential to promote public campaigns about the emergency problem of animals to raise people's environmental awareness.
In conclusion, there are various factors leading to the increasing number of endangered species, and measures can be implemented to tackle this issue.
