Topic: Atomic energy is becoming more and more popular energy source. However, some people argue that nuclear power puts life on the Earth to danger.
What is your opinion?

People have different views about whether alternative energy is increasingly beneficial to our life or pose a serious threat to the earth. While in some ways, it may seem reasonable to use nuclear power as a main energy source in daily life, I personally believe that this kind of energy are more likely to be detrimental to our human health and life.

On the one hand, there are various reasons why some believe that renewable energy sources todays gain popularity on our daily basis. First, atomic energy can be widely considered as an environmentally friendly source of energy because these produce zero emission that alleviate air pollution and also meet a rising alternative demand for fossil fuels. Second, producing more this kind of alternative energy in a domestic nation will boost economic development and also use it as an economic weapon to protect the own country. This means that government can create jobs in manufacturing this energy source, thus somewhat addressing the problem of unemployment and even social instability.

On the other hand, I would argue that atomic energy can negatively affect the planet's life. The first main reason is that building nuclear power plants requires a huge amount of investment, high technology and well-trained staff to work as well as keep the safety system. Moreover, people have to concern about the risk of accidents. This is because just one power station's flaw occurs, one accident could lead to a tragedy to human and animals living near the station. Another important point is that the harmful radiation in nuclear power may have a diverse impact on people's health. If people are exposed to this substance, they may suffer from various serious health issues such as cancer or even diseases related to agent orange.

In conclusion, although it might seem sensible for people to choose alternative energy to use due to its benefits, my own view is that probably the biggest threat for society is nuclear power plants failures that could result in disastrous outcomes to human being.
