The line graph illustrates the consumption of renewable energy reporting the total energy between 1971 and 2011

Overall, there were five of six countries showed an increased use of renewable energy. Finland topped the list despite a mild drop towards the end of period; meanwhile the United Kingdom, it consistently had the lowest figure in a whole years

The proportion of Finland started at 24%, after which it experienced a decline to 16% between 1986 adn 1991, before recovering 23% at the ending of the period. Similar changes, but a greater extent, were seen in the figure for Denmark, which grew from 10% to 15& and final drop to 17% 20 years later.

Merely 3,5% of renewable energy was used in United Stated, with a subsequent jump reach to a peak at around 18% in 2011. The figure for the United Kingdom show similar changes, but a lesser extent, hiting at a trough of 6% until the beginning at 1%

The consumption of France and Germany fluctuated in the range from 1971 to 1991, but it grew significantly to hover around 13% and 14% in 2011.
