Topic ome people think that schools should select students according to their academic abilities, while others believe that it is better to have students with different abilities studying together. Discuss both views and state your own opinion.

My task: People have different views about whether schools should group students by academic abilities . While in some ways it may seem reasonable to put students in the mixed ability classes,I believe that schools should separate students by skill level.

There are two main reasons why people might approve that students with different abilities to study together. Firstly ,labelling pupils different levels has a harmful effect on their growth.Low ability children ,in particular, may feel this hurt their self-esteem and therefore lack the motivation to show their achivement. Secondly,The mixed ablitity class could help talented students to learn to respect other peers who are inferior to themselves ,which prepares them to work successfully in teams with collegues as adults.

In spite of the above arguments,I support the view that the activites and assignments should be tailored for different levels of students.If the school neglect the difference among pupils,it is likely that we would see trouble in the classroom .For example,whereas gifted students who grisp materials more quickly than the norm suffer from borderm, some students are still overwhelmed by the same terms. Having students finish assignments by such varying times can lead to mischief. In addition, the suitable lessons for students can both benefit teachers and students . It’s certainly easier for the teacher to teach a class where most of the students are on a similar level by virtue of how easily they absorb information . Surely students would be able to progress faster owing to the lessons that meet their needs.

In conclusion,it seems to me that it would be better,on balance,for schools to tailor their materials to answer the needs for different levels of students.
