The author, Chris Budd has aims to answer the question whether machine learning will replace humans, especially mathematics. Unanalyzed answer may be “yes”.This is the opinion of one of the celebrities, who gives as argument the power of current computers. Computers are used by mathematicians, and analyst. A machine is always faster than a human., can beat him in analytical competitions. However, computers always perform tasks given by human. Therefore, there is no reasons for claiming, that computer can understand math, prove theorems.

David Hilbert investigated whether machines can understand mathematics. He created a program to write mathematical tasks in a explicit language. Hilbert argued that all mathematical theorems can be proved in the formalism. But in 1931, Kurt Godel showed that Hilbert’s program is is not applicable to many areas of mathematics. He proved it by publishing incompleteness theorem. Computers help greatly with mathematics in their work, for example the proof of the four color theorem was prepared with the help of machines. But there is no computer so powerful that can solve the most difficult mathematical theorems, for example traveling salesman problem. Another example is that machine learning helps predict the weather, but it can never be 100% sure.

Math requires creativity. Artificial intelligence tries to imitate the human mind, despite this for the moment machine is not able to reproduce human thoughts. The downside to computers is that they require patterns. The computer can learn all the best musical compositions and create new compositions on this basic. However, can this be defined as creativity?
