Please check

Alex: Jack told me that he joined the military in 2014.
Dan: Jack wouldn’t have joined the military in 2014; he wouldn’t have been 18 then.
Alex: Why do you say that?
Dan: I think I and Jack are about the same age. I don’t think he is a lot older than me. I was 15 in 2014. And you need to be minimum 18 to be able to join the military.

Is the use of “wouldn’t have” correct? You can answer in yes or no. They are would of probability.
