Some people think that in order to prevent illness and disease. Government should make efforts in reducing environment pollution and housing problems. Agree or disagree?

It is argued that government should have some methods in reducing quality environment and housing problems to protect the health of everybody. In my opinion, I completely agree with this point of view for the following reasons.

Firstly, it is important that solving environment problems such as air pollution is a good way to prevent illness. Some people may argue that some environment protecting activities are expensive compared with the budget of government and do not have effective immediately. Nevertheless, they are ignorant of the fact that air quality is play an important role in people’s life and contributes to preventing some diseases. For example, government encourage local people using public transport instead of driving cars and motorbikes which released emission into the atmosphere so people could enjoy fresh air and avoid many dangerous diseases like lung cancer.

Secondly, it is equally important to recognize that government effort in reducing housing problems such as offering the accommodations. Some opponents would argue that the population is crowded and difficult to control quality housing which leads to epidemic. This argument could be true some extent. However, they should take into account the fact that proving accommodations is a good way to help poor people have a better life. A clear illustration of this is that government built houses for poor people who have to live in slum and under aqueduct. therefore, people could improve their life and avoid many diseases like malaria.

In conclusion, for the reasons I have mentioned above, I strong believe that government should efforts in reducing environment pollution and housing problems.
