Hi, could you tell me if it sounds OK?
1. (...) churches, religious shrines and the national galleries, were the original driving force of tourism in Europe. (or lifeblood insted of driving force is better?)
2.Visiting historic and cultural attractions was the prime motivation behind the pilgrimages, the Grand Tours and later on the sightseeing holidays undertaken by those curious to see Europe's rich heritage for themselves.
3. Nowadays for many people one of the major attractions are theme parks. (or is theme park?)
