Dear Sir or Madam

I would like to apply for the Erasmus program for the spring semester 2012/2013. First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Lucie Janecková, I’m from Czech republic. I have finished the Bachelor’s degree in Finance at Mendel university in Brno, Faculty of economics and management and I am currently studying Master’s Degree program in Finance at the same school.
I've been thinking about the Erasmus program since last year. But thanks to reason that I was not sure to pass the entrance exam to Master degree program I decided do not apply. Thanks to that, this is my last chance to study abroad in the Erasmus program and I would really appreciate to use of the opportunity.
I took part in exchange program with the students from Belgium, during my studies at Grammer school. In spite of the fact we spent in Belgium only one week and the belgian students spent the same time in Czech republic it was amazing experience for me and it was the best part of my studies at the Grammer school. This is also one of the reasons why I would like to study abroad. Main reasons why I woul like to study abroad are improve my language skills, meet new people and live in different culture, get to know different educational system and also get to know myself better. Last but not least, I’m sure the Erasmus program is a big experience of life.
Having looked throught the materials of the Erasmus program I was interested in studying in France the most. France is a beautiful country but unfortunately I haven’t been there yet. According to the fact the second language I studied at Grammer school was french, this country is the best choice for me. That is why ESC Chambéry is my preffered destination. Another reason why I’ve chosen this university are good experence and references from students who have been there. I also really appreciate the work od international coordinators from this university, because they are really kind and they answered all my questions very quickly. I also considered the courses offer in this university very interesting. I would also like to study any courses in french, because I hope for improving my skills in this language too. The last but not the least reason, Chambéry is very beautiful city and of course France has many places i would like to visit, if there will be the opportunity.
I would very much appreciate sped the spring semester 2012/2013 at your university. I’m sure this would give me the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
