Please can a teaser help correct

Which word is correct?

If you are in a car and parked in front of a restaurant, you say :
Is it correct to say 'car ventilation'? : I can smell the smell of pizza through/into the car ventilation.

I'd rather have her look like my wife than her.
I'd rather she looked like my wife than me.

She has a better chance of falling/to fall asleep in my arm/arms than yours.

She looks at people as though/if to say...

Time would have flown by/gone by had you slept on the plane.

She'll start screaming/to scream when you tell her to be quiet.

I had nothing keeping/holding me there once my boyfriend dumped me.

Unnatural, too wordy. Just say 'I can smell pizza'.
