Would appreciate if someone could verify the grammar and terms used in this sentence. Thanks in advance!

"I've tried reaching out the past __years to get in touch with the _____ director but have been unsuccessful in getting through to her. I would be most grateful if you would be willing to make an intro of some sort so that the students can get to experience_____ workshops. Thanks so much in advance.

I would insert a comma or semi-colon (your preference) before a conjunction (“but” and “so”) to join the clauses. Also “intro” is understandable, “introduction” is grammatically better. I’m not sure if you intended to close the quotation after “workshops” or “advance”.

  • Presumably the word or number modifying “years” and “workshops” has been left blank deliberately.
