Introduction



Air transportation is a popular way for people to travel around the world because they believe in the high level of technology in aviation and safety systems. However, air transportation is not 100% safe as shown frequently on the news. Once they have investigated the cause of an accident, it is found that it generally comes from miscommunication, especially between pilots and air-traffic controller (ATC). The Pilots can not operate the aircraft on their own although aircraft has big/small or low/high speed. Pilots have to work or coordinate with everyone involved in the route. Wulle and Zerr agree that Good communication is as important as technical proficiency for the safety of flight. Also, the cause of ambiguity and misunderstanding is an important cause of fatal accident.



Air-traffic control communication is a serious problem in aircraft safety especially misunderstanding of miscommunication occurs and how use of various Englishs accounts for miscommunication which occur between pilot who deliver message or communicate information to air-traffic controller, for example, weather, traffic report, and all managing about flying. There are many reasons.

First reason is ATC communication is involved various Englishes because it takes place in cross-cultural and multi-lingual environments. Most pilots fly both of domestic and international which use their native language for Airspeak Even thought most of pilot and air-traffic controller can and normally use English but many foreign pilots using a variety of local Englishes for communication when working/flying. So, there are numerous problem occurrences between pilots and air-traffic controllers in using different Englishes for communication which make the error or miscommunication while flying. Although, English is language highly used in aviation, English is still not the official language in Air-traffic control. Some countries allow using their own languages besides English for Domestic Air-traffic control. In case pilot and air-traffic controllers who can not use English, they have to take training in high level. Because misunderstand when communication can make the accident while flying or operating. Secondly, Crew coordination and communication to lack of individual technical skills. Third, A lack of accent in English when transferring information/report in aviation status. Because normally, pilots and controllers can not see each other and their reliance on the radio or material that they use for communication. It is very hard to achieve crystal-clear communication by avoiding any ambiguity. Thus, air-traffic control communication remove factors that give communicative context flexibility and depth.

Summary, in many cases, communication failures in English may not be the primary cause of accidents. Usually almost all aviation accidents are caused by miscommunication in English language. Thus pilots and controllers have to avoid themselves when operating or communication to each other by using clear-crystal communication which allows both of them to make a good decision to save life of everyone

My argument, I agree in this paper because I think that misunderstanding in miscommunication makes a lot of problems which occurs the worse accident Thus, clear understanding is important way to safe your life.
