THE CANTERVILLE GHOST

A second masterpiece from Lord Arthur Savile's Crime was published in 2000 introduced Hiram B Otis,an American Ambassador, his wife, a daughter named Virginia, and her oldest son, Washington with the twins in his type of classic book.The story started when Otis still wanted to buy the Canterville Chase although the lord have warned him about the haunted house.Otis and his family did not believe in ghost.The ghost actually was a Sir Simon de Canterville who had killed her wife and he always made a noises with his stained chains and disturbed the people in the house.It was the funny story when the writer showed how the family members bravely talked to the ghost and they successfull made the ghost gave up.Virginia had talked to the ghost in one night and she was told that the ghost realized he was bad and he was going to dead.Virginia was shocked at the beginning, but then she found very interested to accompany the ghost through all night.The ghost was very friendly to her and she was brought to the other world behind the wall for a few days.As the resolution,Virginia came back with the jewel box and brought her family to visit the ghost who was sick for the last time.

The writer was good in his ideas at the end.The ghost was buried at the place as he wanted and Virginia was married to Washington.The story is a simple one and suitable to all levels to read it with many new vocabularies and the sentences used by the writer is very easy to understand besides the interesting plot.
