01b00This is a paper which presents the optimum design for searching the optimal temperatures of the heat exchangers by using the combination of Exhaustive Search Method with Cauchy Method. The objective function is to minimize the heat transfer area of shell and tube type of the connected three heat exchangers. The Exhaustive Search Method and Cauchy Method are combined and numerically implemented. The Exhaustive Search Method can search and meet a reasonable point which is a starting point for Cauchy Method. While some of the optimization techniques occasionally divert away from the optimum point, this combination technique ensures it. Moreover, a computer program has been developed to reach the optimum point effectively. The computer program of this optimum design returns reliable and accurate results. This theory and concept can be applied to other engineering problems in the future.02b02br
