The graph illustrates the number of heart attack cases by people's age and gender in the United States of America.
Overall, men had a higher risk of heart attack than women in all of the age groups. Besides, people were more likely to experience the incident when they get older.
In the age group between 29 and 44, the number of men suffered from heart attacks was 123000, while the figure for women was considerably lower, at 3000. The heart stroke cases on males aged between 45 and 64 rose significantly to 424000, which was three times more than the numbers for women, at 136000.
People over 65 years old had the highest risk of heart attacks regardless of their genders. The number of males who had heart strokes increased slightly by 16000 to 440000. In contrast, the statistics for women almost tripled in comparison with those in the age group of 45-64, with 374.000 cases recorded.
