Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships that people make? Has this been a positive or negative development?
It is true that new technologies have caused the change of interaction between people. In my opinion, technology has had influences on relationships in various ways and this development has both beneficial and detrimental effects.
Technology has extreme effects on business, education, and daily life. First, the internet gives different business owners the chance to interact directly without ever meeting each other. Second, Skype can be considered as the best way to build the strong relationship between students and far-away teachers. Final, text-messaging, phones or email letters have been being used to keep in touch with people they know. Besides, by having an active account on English learning websites, chatting applications or social networks, you can easily make friends with people from all over the world.
The advance in technology is a double-edged sword. One the one hand, the social network is the best means of communication to connect long-distance relationship. Many years ago, cooperation between people from different countries was too difficult. Nowadays, text-messaging, email letters or social networks can be almost as good as face-to-face meetings. On the other hand, technology discourages real interaction in some ways cause the much time spending on smart gadgets, the less time spending communication in person. For example, the young generation prefers surfing the internet or playing games than taking time to have dinner with their families. Another example could be when facing with the accidents road, many people choose to take the photograph or video instead of helping the accident victim.
To sum up, it is undeniable the vital importance of technology in many aspects. Besides positive development, there are a few negative problems which should be reduced.
