Please advise

When asking for advice, I usually close an email with please advise. I know grammatically speaking this is the correct word (advise vs. advice), however this is often flagged as incorrect. What I am wondering is if it is because this is a transative verb and needs an object to follow.
For example:
Please advise me.
vs.
Please advise.

The spellcheck takes away the flag when the first option is listed. Thoughts?
