Please a techer could you correct

1 Is it correct and common English to say 'make yourself look better' and 'make yourself look better IN ONE'S EYES'?

- You are saying all this to make yourself look better in your boyfriend's parent's eyes.

2 Is there anything incorrect?
- The situation isn't as bad as you are making it out. You are making it seem worse than is.

3 Which words are correct?
- You look like a different person through/with these glasses. These aren't /don't fit my prescription. [said as a joke

4 Is there any mistake?
- Our job as doctors is to treat patients and in order to do so, we need to make the correct diagnosis.

5 Is this sentence correct in terms of grammar and speech?
- The starting price of your item [at an auction] depends on its rarity.
