....During this period of time( I mean the Renaissance) , the modern world was born as Gutenberg perfected printing, Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas, Copernicus found that the earth revolved around the sun, Martin Luther founded a new religion, the use of the cannon ended chivalry, da Vinci created a new form of art and Shakespeare is no exception, he is referred to as a Renaissance writer, specifically an Elizabethan poet and playwright. Through his works he displays the Renaissance’s thoughts and concerns, especially his tragedy Hamlet.
