Pleasant on the eyes

Hi

Could you please tell me which version sounds better to your native ears?

on VS to

eyes VS eye

(Talking about a book)

  1. Big fonts are always pleasant on the eye/eyes.
  2. Big fonts are always pleasant to the eye/eyes.

(Talking about clothes)

  1. When it's very hot, lights colors are pleasant to the eye/eyes.
  2. When it's very hot, lights colors are pleasant on the eye/eyes.

"Pleasant on" doesn't work. Things are hard on the eyes or easy on them. If you use "pleasant to", use "eye".
