Playing chops

Hi,

I came across this sentence on a blog that focuses on PC games:

"People who have real playing chops should make videos where they would share their techniques."

Is 'playing chops' correct here? I'd probably say 'gaming skills' myself, but I'm curious about 'playing chops'.

Thank you.
