Playing at being

Hello....

Stop playing at being a saint to her.

Does this mean (A) “stop acting like a saint to her directly, like acting not interested in dating with her” or (B) “stop playing to other people as if he was not interested in dating with her”?

Or, maybe, both, according to the context?
