Play to your name

Lets say you are playing online poker and your user name is "agressive killer"

His opposent saussaie "this guy really plays to his name" he is agressive just like his name says/indicates/states.

Is that what"play to name means? Or is there a different way to say it?

Is this correct?
He is aggressive just like his name says states indicates.
