"Susan is a vivid girl" is very strange. Usually we talk about a vivid image or vivid colors. Do you mean lively? Active? What did you have in mind?

In Chinese translation, vivid is very close in meaning with lively, and bright. That's the reason I said what I said. I know many Asian learners take the translation out of hte dictionary and use them as translated.
