Play it? play with it?

I think that they are different, but I cannot keep in mind tightly....

play it? play with it?

for example,

A---I play my dog

B---I play with my dog?

Is it true that for A, I am taking my dog as a toy and the dog is my focus. While for B, maybe I am running with my dog, I am swimming with my dog right?

Does A carry any humiliation?

For example if I say

I play her (Is it a kind of humiliation, violation, or sex crime I am doing to her if I say this?)
