I just got off the plane. Calling my friend:

I've arrived a few minutes ago. Or

I arrived a few minutes ago.

Friend: Great. When did you arrive?

Past simple brings us way back to school and confuses us sometimes.

Form:

Subject (me/you/he....) + base form+ed (with regular verbs) + .....
+ base form (with irregular verbs) +....
