Plan Or Planner

Hello everyone,

Is either "plan" or "planner" okay in the following sentences?

1. Why have you written TRAVEL on your plan for next summer?/ Because I'm planning to travel round the world then.

2. Why have you written TRAVEL on your planner for next summer?/ Because I'm planning to travel round the world then.

Regards,

JA

Both are possible, but the meanings may be slightly different. "Planner" specifically means a book (like a diary) or chart, where activities to be done at certain times are marked. "Plan" does not have to take this specific form.
