Plaese check my grammar!

Which sentence between the following two is the most appropriate:

1). I don't like celebrating birthdays but to be honest it gives me great pleasure when I am being wished by someone. It indicates how much selfish I am. Isn't it?

2). I don't like to celebrate birthdays but to be honest it gives me great pleasure when I am being wished by someone. It indicates how much selfish I am. Isn't it?

Thanks in advance!

The choice between the gerund and the infinitive is an even split in this case, in my opinion. There are some other problems with your sentence. " "Much" must be deleted.

Thanks Avangi!

But can you please rewrite the whole sentence in edited form. I am not actually getting my mistakes.
