Placement or Positioning??

Hi,

please read the following situation and help with the translation.

Situation: we will build the stand for customer "A", he wants us to provide for the transport and the positioning (placement) ? of their biggest and heaviest exhibit into the stand.

"Dear "A",

we can not provide for the transport and positioning (placement)? of the exhibit into the stand because we do not have the special equipment (??) necessary to raise such heavy items. Please consider the possibility to make a request to the Fair for this service".

Thank you for checking!!

In my experience, a stand is always elevated from the ground or the floor - like a stage.

We have special words like "the grandstand" and "the bandstand." The grandstand is for spectators, of course, while the bandstand is for performers. But both are typically elevated. The bandstand is like a stage and the grandstand is like an ampitheater, the seats being tiered.

Pamela81...why "I can not" is wrong.
Hi,

Actually, the form can not is not wrong. This form is acceptable nowadays, although most people

still prefer to stick with the regular form. Having said that, I only use either cannot or can't.
