Placement of [not lunch]

I have made up the two sentences below.

(1a) I want to have a snack, not lunch, right now.

(1b) I want to have a snack right now, not lunch.

My non-native English speaking friends think (1a) is correct and (1b) is wrong. Do you agree with them?

Thanks a lot.

ansonguy Do you agree No. Both are correct, and in my opinion (1b) is more likely what someone would actually say. CJ
