Placement of "indefinitely"

I am going to put "indefinitely" in two different places of the same sentence below.

(1) His contract will indefinitely be renewed.

(2) His contract will be indefinitely renewed.

My friends and I have read the sentences many times. The placement of the adverb does not seem to interrupt the flow the sentences. We think both are correct. Because we are not native English speakers, we are not exactly sure. Please help us. Thanks a lot.
