Placement of Footnote

Hi, this is my sentence:

"I think maybe I am a very subjective, and thus in some ways biased, reader … albeit a voracious one."

This is supposed to be its accompanying footnote: "Towards precisely whom, I am unsure."

My question is does the footnote need to be inserted here: "I think maybe I am a very subjective, and thus in some ways biased,* reader … albeit a voracious one."

Or here: "I think maybe I am a very subjective, and thus in some ways biased, reader* … albeit a voracious one."

Potential placement of footnotes indicated by the *

I am not going by any sort of style manual, nor is this by definition academic writing. I am merely wondering which one makes the most grammatical sense and/or sounds the best. Thank you! Emotion: smile

Put it where you would put a parenthetical remark. But I presume you are aware that patching over awkward sentences is not a good use of a footnote. "

Well, I'm open to any suggestions you might have as to fixing this.

But I think the "a" before "very subjective" should prevent any confusion as far as that. Subjective isn't a noun. No one would say "I'm a very subjective," as if it were something to say like "I'm a doctor" or "I'm a grammar teacher." While I respect your opinion, and know the average English teacher's reputation for nit

No, you did not offend me, I offended myself.

You are wandering like a rudderless sailor on a turbulent sea. There is certainly no call for a footnote—which would cause me, at least, to close your book promptly and forever. T
