Placement of adverbs

Hello....

Are the following corrections all correct?
The placement of adverbs is not so easy....

1. *He closely listened. ? He listened closely.
2. *He doesn't closely listen. ? He doesn't listen closely.
3. *He softly spoke. ? He spoke softly.
4. *He should softly speak. ? He should speak softly.

5. *He quietly lay under the counter.
? a. He lay quietly under the counter.
? b. He lay under the counter quietly.

6. ?He was quietly lying under the counter.?
? a. He was lying quietly under the counter.
? b. He was lying under the counter quietly.

7. ?He would quietly lie under the counter until everyone left.
? a. He would lie quietly under the counter until everyone left.
? b. He would lie under the counter quietly until everyone left .
