Placement of "about antique watches"

(1) I don't know as much about antique watches as you.

(2) I don't know as much as you about antique watches.

The two different positions of "about antique watches" seem okay to my friends and me because we are not native speakers. Could you please tell me the correct placement of the phrase? Thanks a lot.
