Placement of "7pm"
(ex) Suppose that you left the library at 7pm. Next, you went shopping at ABC Store. I am going to combine these sentences into one.
(1) After you left the library at 7pm, you went shopping at ABC Store.
(ex) Suppose that your father walked out of ABC Mall. Later on, you got there at 7pm. I am going to comine the sentences into one.
(2) After my father walked out of ABC Mall, I arrived there at 7pm.
Some of my non-native English speaking friends think both combined sentences are correct. My other friends think the sentences are wrong. Please help me. Thank you.

ansonguy (1) After you left the library at 7pm, you went shopping at ABC Store. It seems OK to me, but we don't often use 'after' and an exact time in the same clause like that. I think it's more natural to write You left the library at 7 pm and went shopping at ....
