HiI know that interpreting what the author had on mind may make no sense and that we can only guess what he/she really wanted to say.But maybe someone will try to figure out what the lines of the song below may mean. Comment: The function of tart in this sentence is as a noun, not as an adjective: so, it hasn't got here the meaning of acid or sour. Tart means cake, but in this particular case and regarding the last part of the sentence - your body's rent - it has probably the other "slang" meaning of tart: prostitute.

I wouldn't go too far trying to interpret this lot.

I think that a lot of lines are in there just to rhyme and sound clever. Perhaps the writer could explain them but the rest of us don't have much chance!

In the sentence "My body's broken, yours is bent".... Is the correct word "bent" or "spent"?
I have seen in many lyrics sites that they use the word "spent"...

Interpreting the author's intentions is sometimes unrelevant. Art is what it is, not what it was meant to be when it was first created.
I think the sentence "every you and every me" to have a double meaning: one recalls the thousand character shades that can characterize the course of our lives; the second is about how every man and every woman is quite the same and one can be representative of all. (In the second case we can say that "you" and "me" are allegories of the whole human kind.)

Ok, I  interpreted this song soooo many times, as it has always represented different stages of my life.. And every time it magically fitted every single situation i have been in. the funny thing is that i keep on forgetting about this song every time, and then sometimes all of a sudden its present in my life again.

So here my personal interpretation of the song from my recent perspective: 

Every you and every me (u see how in the title it says u and then it says me? well during the song he inverses it to first me and then u) - In my view it means that he tries to put importance on the you - by giving the you the dominant position in the title, but in the "stanzas" his starting of with me again, which suggests that he puts himself before the you (also matches well with the line "I know i m selfish, I m unkind") 

Ok then to the first stanza: 
- "sucker love" - well, i might be going a bit far, but the first kind of "love" everyone experiences is the love to their mother - in some way - and babies are getting "comfort" out of sucking on their mothers nipples while breastfeading - "heaven sent" represents thus that this way of loving, of having a drive to suck love is given every human being by "heaven" - birth - and in this way he kind of justifies his sucker love that he has now... (feels now)
"you pucker up" - getting ready to kiss someone - but not doing it(?) because the passion is spent.
heart = tart - suggests that he feels like a prostitute, and that her body is only rent to him (might this be the reason why the passion is spent? - because he feels like her body is rent, but not willingly given?)

My body's broken urs is bent: well, I have an image in my head, from a women benting backwards, and a men benting forward to her, breaking his body - thus to me it suggests, that he gives her so much - and does so much for her, that his body is broken but hers is only bent (because she doesnt give that much) 

Carve ur name into my arm - first of all pain, suggestion of **** (to compensate for the spent passion?) but also as an attempt to remember her name (I guess its more about carving in their memories rather than the name) 
while he should be lying there stressed he is calm, because he knows there is nothing else left to do, but to try and hold on to their memories (which she is carving into his arm and which gives him some sort of comfort)
every me and every you (ever repeating circle, he knows that he cant come out of this situation, because he is selfish and this sucker love gives him a sort of pleasure that he wont give up) 

a box i choose (well, box has some association with the female body - but i rather see it as him trying to sort out his life and making nice and neat boxes to stuff everything in) 
- no other box i choose to use - well, in life we always try to control things, and even though he is not in control of this love, he tries to get hold of it, by precisely telling which box he wants to use, giving him some unreal comfort here again)
- another love i would abuse (this one is interesting, it suggests that this love right now, is not abused (by him) - so to me it means, that he really believes (or wants it) to be love
- no circumstances could excuse - (I refer to excuse, more as explain - so, no circumstances could explain why he chooses this one box and why he would abuse another love - giving this situation (this "love" some sort of irrationality)

In the shape of things to come (shape refers back to the box, so i d say it means that he is looking forward what other "shape" he will choose to fit his future into

to much poison ( i d say that poison here is passion, because poison is exciting, risk seeking, just as passion is, but when passion fades, it becomes dangerous, just like poison does when it threatens to kill u or harm u) 
come undone (he has lost control over his life, because of this poison)

see the last line where he puts a third every me without following it by another every you? and the way he stresses the meeeee? well,i think this shows a turning point in the song, he puts the importance on him again..

known to swing: it is constantly changing
prone to cling: its trying to keep things together - waste these things: contradictory to keeping things together, thus he just states the complete opposites: in one, where the lovers are sure of their sucker love and the other where they are completely unsure 

pucker up: pucker (confusion) - pucker up: sort out ur confusion (get to know urself) for heavens sake (heaven has sent sucker love, and its like he is begging to give heaven another chance)
there s never been so much at stake (shows his will, to work things out, it is important to him)

"serve my head on a plate" he does everything for her - even serving his head
comfort calling late - now as he realises he does go into this extreme, to show her his love, because he know he will be missing the comfort of having her body being rent to his

last three lines - again a complete moodswing

Like the naked needs the blind - well they dont need each other - and thus he says, that he doesnt need her either, that he was just selfish and unkind and that he just took advantage of her - he says that he will always finding someone else, to have this sucker love with (he doesnt need her, just like the naked isnt helped by the blind) 
and that person he can bruise and leave behind ...

well i interpret this part as a lie- trying to give him comfort, that this sucker love didnt mean anything to him... even though its not like that.

all alone in space in time (clear)
nothing here but whats here mine (his loneliness is all his, nobody can take it from him - as sucker love has been taken of it)

something borrowed, something blue - well in order to have good luck u need something old and something new (if i remember the english saying right) but he only has these two, which will mean that he doesnt have what it takes to make the next love into a happy ending - and that he will just once again be ending up having sucker love...
