Place the hold

Hi all. Is it okay to say 'the hold' in this context:

"I placed a hold on this book on Friday. It still hasn't arrived."
"Oh, sorry about that. When did you say you placed the hold again?"

Since this hold has been mentioned, the definite article is used in the second. Is that okay?
Or is it a fixed idiom: to place a hold, never 'the'.
