Hi Ali;
Pivot means to move or turn in a way such that one point (or a line in 3-dimensions) is fixed and does not move.
In this case, the fulcrum is that fixed point.

A door pivots on its hinges.

And the word 'about' here means 'on'?

In the case of a lever, the lever will, in fact, often be resting on the fulcrum. However, "about" here does not simply mean "on". When an object rotates, one point of it remains stationary while all other parts move. We say the the obkect rotates about the point that remains stationary.

So can we say that the door is the 'lever' and the hinge is the 'fulcrum'?

Not really, because a door is not a "lever". A "lever" is the specific type of mechanical device that is depcited in the drawing I linked to earlier.
