Pity

I am still confused to use "pity" in sentences. Which one is true among the sentences below?

a) I have a pity on him. He lost his car
b) Should I put a pity on you?!
c) Mr Tony pities his students for failing the test

Note that pity is usually used for something very sad and serious.
