PILE/STACK

Do these sentences make sense:


a) "A pile of folded clothes sit on the bedroom."


b) "A stack of folded clothes sit on the bedroom."

Both 'pile' and 'stack' are OK, but you sit on a chair. You can't sit on a bedroom. And the clothes can't either.

Typically we just say

We don't say "sit".
