Vocabulary

Pier or Warf

Hello,

Can I use these two words as the same meaning?

Pier and Warf

Are they different?

How about Port and Harbor? How can I use them differently?

Top answer

'Pier' and 'wharf' are essentially the same thing. A 'port' is usually the town or facilities, while a 'harbor' is the protected body of water.

Regarding the icons: You must put a space in your brackets like this ( [d ] ), because without a space, many bracketed letters are codes for emoticons.
